Installation of new MUGA and outdoor gym
We are practiced in the installation of multi use games areas “MUGA”. This project involved site clearance, removal of dilapidated equipment, installation of a new safety surface, procurement and installation of outdoor gym equipment, installation of a new adventure play item, and reinstatement of grassed areas.
The initiative garnered significant local interest and served as a positive outlet amidst the disruption caused by nearby railway infrastructure construction activities.
New equipment
The brightly coloured tubular apparatus was specially selected to fulfil the communities design brief and to fall within criteria set by properties neighbouring the play area.
Concurrent with the children’s play area the separate outdoor gym area was prepared with a mesh reinforcement system being installed throughout.
The outdoor gym equipment was installed as a preconfigured package of eight individual gym equipment items. The outdoor gym area conveniently lies adjacent to the village senior football pitch and touchline shelter, providing the added benefit of a player ‘warm up’ area.
Surrounding areas
Outside the safety play surfaces, grassed areas were reinstated by adding topsoil and seeding, ensuring a lush and inviting environment.
Recycling
We place an emphasis on recycling old materials, when possible, to ensure we are doing good for the environment. Before installing the new adventure play item, Talbot removed and recycled as much of the unsafe structure as possible.
Safety Standards.
Following this we placed safety at the forefront of our minds as we installed the new safety surface to ROSPA approved safety standards. This provided the necessary fall from height protection and made sure the equipment was as safe as possible.
